Questions we are frequently asked

From September to June, Wednesdays and Sundays from 2.30pm to 6pm.
In July and August, daily from 2.15pm to 6pm.
The museum is closed on Easter Sunday.

During office hours, all visits to the basement are guided, including making a sheet of paper in a vat, starting up the machines, etc.

Tours of the upper floors are free.

Groups are welcome every day by prior arrangement. Tours are fully guided.

The museum welcomes groups of between 15 and 100 people.

After booking, the number of guides is adapted to the size of the group.

Two types of workshop are available:

  • Individual creation of a sheet of paper to be printed and taken away.
  • Collective production of a paper hot-air balloon, taken away by the group.

A guided tour completes the workshops.

No, groups of adults also enjoy making their own paper or a hot-air balloon.

Some workshops can also be organised for family celebrations, birthdays, etc.

The museum shop is open when visitors arrive.

It sells paper, books, documents and souvenirs related to hot-air ballooning.

There is a large car park next to the church (2 minutes’ walk from the museum).

A second car park, near the museum, is also accessible, particularly for people with reduced mobility.

Only part of the museum is accessible to people with reduced mobility: the ground floor (video, Montgolfier room, shop) and the basement (machine room, handmade paper workshop).
